The TWIN now offers a big -- and safe -- increase in field capacity which optimises spray application timing.

TWIN FORCE is the name HARDI gives to their TWIN fan air assisted boom versions available on their range of trailed and self-propelled sprayers.

HARDI engineers and agronomists developed and tested two important improvements to meet specific needs.

First, the blower and blower housing have been redesigned to increase air capacity at the outlets by a considerable 20%. This makes the TWIN's renowned drift control even more effective -- increasing the boom width options and increasing forward speed.

Second, the air bag material has been changed to PVC. This provides greater durability in tough conditions and facilitates regular folding/unfolding when moving from work to transport mode.

It cleans easier too -- it sheds liquid effectively enabling operators to rapidly clean the skirt in field to minimise environmental pollution.

The result is an exceptionally effective drift control -- not only providing the opportunity for more spraying hours, but also enabling an increase in forward speed -- up to 15 km/h without compromising safety and effect.

The TWIN has pioneered new spraying techniques, and several thousands have been sold since its introduction 15 years ago.

The high drift reduction factor obtained enables a safe and responsible increase in spraying speeds -- gaining more spraying hours per day in conditions, which would stop the equivalent conventional machine.

The TWIN has been subject to more laboratories and field examinations and testing programmes by independent research stations around the world than any other sprayer.

HARDI's own agronomists have also invested more time into researching the benefits of the sprayer performance improvement, too.

User survey results have shown that on average, one `TWIN' can spray double the area of the equivalent size of a conventional sprayer in a twelve months period -- and deliver a very substantial saving in chemicals' consumption depending on applications and conditions.

Tougher legislation is demanding large reductions in spray drift to protect the environment.

Independent research has shown that the HARDI `TWIN' is the best air assisted sprayer on the market -- setting new standards in optimising plant protection product (PPP) application.
